Impact foundation being active in the destination management component witnesses heart-breaking scenes of hungry dogs in the streets who multiply by 6 in a period over 6 months. Impact foundation pulled all the strings possible to motivate private sector managers to donate for sterilization, vaccination and food stations for stray dogs and cats in the village.

IMPACT FOUNDATION has partnered with Ski Center Mavrovo and has negotiated the Giant Humanitarian Slalom to be the cause for which we will recruit amateur skiers from as many corporations as we find in the country. The private sector needed to understand the importance of destination management and act accordingly. The first awareness campaign was launched and then the raising funds event was promoted. 31 companies donated more than 12.000 CHF to the cause.

Results
In the preparatory project we have achieved the following results:
- Raised more than 1000 EUR from each company participating in the Giant Slalom
- Awareness: Strong campaign for responsible companies made them aware of the amount of animal lives can be saved in the Municipality of Mavrovo
- Stray dogs treatment: More than 35 dogs will be treated in vet centre accordingly
- Capacitation of one stray dog shelter: Amos shelter was a pure enthusiastic organization that needed capacity building for ways and methods how to run the shelter and how to access funds.
